Uintah Machine manufactures low profile belly dump gravel trailers with brakes and hydraulic or manual landing legs. The gates are operated hydraulically. Our standard trailer has an 8 cubic yard capacity. Air reservoirs and other hydraulic and pneumatic components are protected from falling objects and other blows. Each trailer is made with 1/2″ x 4″ x 12″ tube frame for stiffness and strength. The trailers are built with 5th wheel hitches.

Uintah Machine manufactures hydraulically operated dump-bed trailers. The bins on these trailers are hydraulically tilted to dump the contents, such as trash or rock dust, out the back. The tail gate shown pivots at the top and swings freely when the bin is tilted. It can be locked closed during transportation or we can put the hinges vertically on the side so that the tailgate(s) swing to the side. We will build yours with the hitch type that you require, be it goose neck, pintle hitch, or something else. The drawing below shows a single-axle model.  We also build them with two axles and Uintah Machine’s walking beam suspension which keeps all four wheels on the ground at all times for a relatively smooth ride and greater load carrying capacity.

Uintah Machine designs and manufactures several types of pipe transport trailers. A basic pipe trailer is built simply for transporting pipes.

Another variation steers from both ends for a smaller turning radius.

Our most sophisticated models are designed to carry the lot of pipes into the mine and then facilitate the easy installation of the pipe. The pipes rest on two racks which hydraulically lift the stack to a height suitable to two workers on a walk-deck. The workers then position individual pipes in the cradles of two hydraulically-operated positioning cylinders which allow for universal motion and ease of installation. Both pipe decks and both positioning cylinders are built built such that they can be controlled individually from the ends of the trailer. The pipe is then raised into place and attached to the roof, all without any strenuous lifting involved.

Uintah Machine manufactures a variety of trailers that are intended to perform specific functions. A few are mentioned here. Also reference the section on pipe trailers. Roof support can trailers are flat bed trailers with decks that tilt to roll the cans off. See the drawings for more information and safety features. Power center trailers are built to hold portable underground power centers. Pump trailers have pumps in a cage at the end of the trailer. The trailer is backed into the water, the cage lowered and the pumps started for emergency flood control. Skid steer loader trailers do just what their name implies. They are low ground clearance trailers that haul skid steer loaders underground. Block trailers haul concrete mine support blocks into mines. Belt structure trailers are used for hauling channels and belt equipment. Cable tub trailers haul cable lengths in a large “tub”. The tub doesn’t have any sharp corners that would damage the cables. Roof bolter supply trailers are double decker trailers designed to be pulled alone or in chains of two. Loaded bins of roof bolts are loaded on the lower deck and winched in using sheaves at the front of the trailers. Empty bins are stowed on the top decks. Rollers facilitate loading the empty bins. The trailers have sliding adjustable pintle hitches. And hydraulic landing legs.

Uintah Machine designs and manufactures 3-axle trailers to haul very heavy loads such as head and tail gearboxes underground. Rated for up to 80,000 lb. and running on rubber tires instead of steel, these trailers fill an important niche in the underground mine industry. The suspension on our 3-axle trailers equalizes the load among all 6 wheels while adjustable drag links keep the floating axles parallel with each other. The model shown here has a dropdeck bed with manual landing legs. The Uintah preferred model has a 24″ flat deck with bigger wheels and hydraulic landing legs. Accessories such as stakes and winches can also be added.
